Group Emphasis

In these daytime classes, our dedicated instructors will focus on building fundamental swim skills, imparting water safety knowledge, and boosting your child’s confidence in the water. We believe in providing a safe and nurturing environment for your little ones to develop their swimming abilities. The class will provide a good platform to move to the jr pups or pups group when they start school. 

Performance Requirements

There are no performance requirements for this entry level group

Progression Requirements:

·       Be able to complete sessions with ease;

·       Demonstrate proper age appropriate kick, arm, and breathing technique; and,

·       Have regular attendance at lessons.

Attendance

There are no attendance expectations for this level. However consistent attendance to lessons is recommended to foster proficient technique development.​​​​​​​

$125/class  per 10 week session

Age Group

At least 5 years old at time of registration. Should be comfortable swimming 10 meters on front and 10 meters on back.

Group Emphasis

This will be a fun and very active 30 minute class building on the fundamentals of swimming. This class will build on the fundamentals learned in Guppies or swim lessons. The Jr Pups will learn in the leisure pool and teachers will be in the water. The class will provide a good platform to start the pre-competitive Pups program.

There are no performance requirements for this entry level group

Progression Requirements:

·       Be able to complete sessions with ease;

·       Have a grasp of fundamentals swimming including proper kick, arms, and breathing techinique; and,

·       Have regular attendance at practices.

Attendance

There are no attendance expectations for this level. However consistent attendance to training is recommended to foster proficient technique development.​​​​​​​

Cost

$200 per 10 week session

Age Group

At least 5 years old at time of registration. Should be comfortable swimming 25 meters on front and 25 meters on back (10m for junior pups).

Group Emphasis

This will be a fun and very active 30 minute class building on the fundamentals of swimming. This class will focus mainly on freestyle and backstroke. Swimmers will aim to only be in this squad for one to two seasons while fundamentals are developed. The Pups will start in the shallow end of the pool and teachers will be in the water, expanding to the whole pool as skill levels improve. The class will provide a good platform to start the competitive squad system.

There are no performance requirements for this entry level group

Progression Requirements:

·       Be able to complete sessions with ease;

·       Have a grasp of fundamentals of freestyle and backstroke; and,

·       Have regular attendance at practices.

There are no attendance expectations for this level. However consistent attendance to training is recommended to foster proficient technique development.

Competition Expectations

There are no competition expectations for Pups. However swimmers may attend the two EVDSC fun meets which are held throughout the season, and are encourage to attend competitive swim meets at home and away with coaches approval.
