Event: Marlin Mercenary Madness Dates: May 22 - 24, 2026
Meet Host: Marlin Swim Club
Location: Big Marble Go Centre, 2000 Division Ave N, Medicine Hat, Alberta
This meet is open to swimmers in: All swimmers currently registered with Swimming Canada or a World Aquatics affiliated club who have passed Swim Alberta’s Competition Swim Test. Age categories are 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & over for both males and females. (Note: The 400m IM and 400m Freestyle require a qualifying time of 7:00 or faster).
Session Schedule & Events:
- Session 1 (Friday Afternoon - Timed Finals): Warmup 3:30 PM / Start 4:30 PM
- Events: 400 IM, 200 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly
- Session 2 (Saturday Morning - Prelims & 400 Free Finals): Warmup 7:30 AM / Start 8:30 AM
- Events: 200 IM, 100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly, 50 Breaststroke, 400 Free (Timed Final)
- Session 3 (Saturday Afternoon - Finals): Warmup 3:30 PM / Start 4:30 PM
- Events: Finals for Session 2 events, 4 x 50 Freestyle Relay
- Session 4 (Sunday Morning - Prelims): Warmup 7:30 AM / Start 8:30 AM
- Events: 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 50 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, 50 Freestyle
- Session 5 (Sunday Afternoon - Finals): Warmup 2:00 PM / Start 3:00 PM
- Events: Finals for Session 4 events, 4 x 50 Medley Relay
Important Meet Information:
- Meet Limit: The meet will be limited to 350 swimmers.
- Event Limits: Swimmers are limited to 1 individual event for Session 1 (Friday), and a maximum of 6 individual events between Sessions 2 and 4 (Saturday/Sunday prelims).
- Entry Times: Entry times are required for all entries. Entries with No Times (NT) will not be accepted.
- 400m Events: The 400 IM is limited to the top 8 females and 8 males, and the 400 Free is limited to the top 32 females and 32 males (fastest to slowest).
- Positive Check-In: Swimmers in the 400 Freestyle MUST positively check-in at the Administration Desk upstairs no later than 15 minutes after the start of warm-ups on the day of the event. Failure to check in will be deemed a scratch.
Fees:
- Individual Events: $17.00 per event
- Relay Events: $22.00 per relay
- EVDSC Coaching Fee: $35.00
No refunds are possible for withdrawal after the scratch deadline. Please email headcoach@evdsc.com if your swimmer is no longer planning to attend the meet.
